Tomato and garlic, or cheese and herb... add one of these Spoon & Pinch bread flavourings to your bread dough and shape into a sharing round, the perfect addition to any dinner party. For extra flavour, go the extra mile and coat the round with a butter paste when it comes out of the oven.
Pour the water into the bread machine pan. Sprinkle over all other ingredients, making sure that the yeast and sugar don’t come in contact. Set the machine to the dough setting and press start. Grease a large round or square deep bread tin., or 2 medium/small tins. When the machine beeps, remove dough.
Knead gently and divide dough into 25-30g pieces (for small dinner rolls). Shape each piece into a roll and place into the prepared tin.
Leave the rolls to rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
Once risen, place into a cold oven and switch on to 160C. Cook for 25 minutes until risen and just browning.
To make the optional glaze; Make a paste by mixing the tomato and garlic flavouring with the softened butter.
Remove from oven and spread with the glaze (if using). Leave to stand for 5 minutes in the tin, then remove the rolls from the tin and transfer onto a cooling rack to cool completely.
